Observations on art and art process from the studio
I just found some photographs of paintings I created in college. It reminded me of how artists come to develop a style.
This show features the work of ten Koplin Del Rio artists and completes the series of three IDENTITY exhibitions introducing the gallery’s artists to a Seattle audience.
An interview about my history and my approach to art conducted by Cindy Momchilov, edited and produced by DoubleTroublets Productions.
When we walk through museums, visit exhibitions and look at art, we come with preconceptions, prejudices and preferences, and, if you are an artist, take from those works ideas and processes we could use as our own. Much of the time we come away with our opinions affirmed, pushed to reconsider an artist’s work, or just excited to get back into the studio. But sometimes, a work of art produces a sudden insight or, in my case, a discovery that reshapes my approach to art making.

- Prices on this site are non-negotiable and shipped unframed.
- However, you may choose to purchase these works from my gallery to arrive at terms more suitable to your circumstances if you desire to work through my representative.
- If a work does not appear here it may be available through my representative. Use the Studio’s contact page to inquire or visit ARTSY for drawings offered through Koplin Del Rio.
- All purchases are final. Shipping and handling is added on to the purchase price during checkout. No international purchasing is allowed through this store; however, international collectors may contact the me or Koplin Del Rio to acquire work.
- Purchase price is for drawings unframed. Shipping and insurance costs are for shipment within the continental United States only. Large drawings are shipped rolled in crates. The expense of crating, delivery and insurance is covered in full by the Buyer and is considered part of full payment. Framing is the responsibility of the purchaser. Shipment will occur only after Paypal releases funds to Artist.
- Once marked as "delivered" by carrier tracking, we are no longer responsible for the package. We are unable to ship to PO Boxes so please be sure to provide your full delivery address and contact phone number.
OTHER INFORMATION
- RISK OF LOSS AND INSURANCE: The risk of loss or damage to the Work and provision of any insurance to cover such loss or damage shall rest upon the Buyer from the time of purchase. Unless Insurance provider takes possession of damaged work, the drawing is to be returned to Artist.
- COPYRIGHT AND REPRODUCTION: The Artist reserves all reproduction rights, including the right to claim statutory copyright, in the Work. The Work may not be photographed, sketched, painted, or reproduced in any manner whatsoever in commercial purposes without the express written consent of the Artist.
